Within the scope of the project, the surface water and groundwater resources of all settlements located in the project area were comprehensively evaluated through detailed hydraulic, geological, and hydrogeological investigations. The lithological and structural characteristics of the geological units within the Bozburun Peninsula were identified, and their hydrogeological properties—such as permeability, storage capacity, and groundwater circulation—were thoroughly assessed.
In addition, the surface water hydrology of the basin was examined in detail. The total water potential of all streams and springs discharging into the sea during the winter precipitation period was calculated. Based on these analyses, sustainable and technically feasible engineering solutions were developed for securing the drinking water supply of Bozburun Island.
